前两天，她问起她写的文章是不是被Cricket用了，我说，我也不知道，不过我会打个电话问问。打电话过去，接电话的告诉我，“CRICKET从来不通知任何参赛选手是否被录用，如果被录用了，你就会在那一期的杂志上看到，否则，就是没有被录用。因为参赛选手实在是太多了。”我对这个回答很是不能苟同。不过，人都那么说了，我还能怎样。

当天回去，就在信箱里看到Cricket编辑部来的据信：

"Dear May,

Thank you very much for the fantastic story （这里是四个选择中的一个，被打了勾，其余的是terrific poem, awesome artwork and fabulous photograph) that you entered in Feb 2013 Cricket League contest.

We want you to know that even though your work didn't win a prize, it was one of the better entries we received.  You work shows that you have imagination and talent.  Please keep trying!

We hope you are enjoying CRICKET and we look forward to receiving another contest entry from you soon.

其实来的是明信片，划线部分是手工填写的。她看了，说，“我知道我的文章不会被录用的。”说的时候到也没有太伤心的样子。我说，“你写文章，又不是只为了被录用。”她说，“这倒也是。I am sure that they send these exactly same post card to everybody who haven't won. 我要把这张明信片收起来，留作纪念。”

三月参加的是绘画作品，

四月可以参加诗歌。还没有写呢。呵呵。
