"Writing is a kind of self-hypnosis." he says. "Interruptions break the spell, and it's sometimes hard to get it back."

A book may begin with just a little idea, sometimes just a character trait.  Sahar says that most of his ideas come from what he remembers "doing and feeling and thinking as a child."
