万圣节就快到了，有一项传统项目就是刻南瓜，一般是去农场选一个南瓜，然后自己亲手动手刻，南瓜的肚囊里再点灯，远远看过去， 大多是这样的：百科全书里是这么解释的：
A jack-o'-lantern (formerly also known as a Jack o' the lantern) is typically a carved pumpkin. It is associated chiefly with the holiday Halloween, and was named after the phenomenon of strange light flickering over peat bogs, called ignis fatuus or jack-o'-lantern. In a jack-o'-lantern, typically the top is cut off, and the inside flesh then scooped out; an image, usually a monstrous face, is carved onto the outside surface, and the lid replaced. At night, a light is placed inside to illuminate the effect.
今年我们去农场里挑了一个南瓜，然后又买了一套工具和对工具的说明书。小姑娘就兴致勃勃地干上了。
先去了顶，然后掏空南瓜的囊，南瓜籽还舍不得仍，洗干净了，放在阳台上，说要留着。接着在南瓜上画了草图，就开始刻了：需要爸爸的帮忙，其实就是哼一下，
