parent/teacher conference (2006-11-19 11:24:27)

language arts:
May speaks Egnlish with much ease, using correct pretenses, verbs and even differentiating between adjectives and adverbs.  recorgnizing sight words need a improvement but ony need a little more practice.

Math/Cognitive Skills:
May has established the basic understanding of numberical sequences, and can count up to 20 without problems.  She can also comprehend the concept of chronological order. She needs a little more practice counting objects.

Reading Comprehension:
May enjoys listening to sotries.  She is able to undrestand the plot and ask questions.  She has some trouble understanding "why" something has happned.  hoever recalling the events of a story will help.

Writing Skills:
May attempts sporadically to write letters but get bored when she is not able.  She does emulate some of the easier linear letters but not so much the ones that require more of the motor skills (i.e., "b", "g", "s") Encouragement to at least "try" to write letters is important.

Other Comments:
May is an enjoyable student! She is bright and attentive and learns things quickly, socially.  May has many friends as is the leader in the classroom (prek 3).  She is ajusting well to the new classroom.  Sometimes May gets distrated or bored but is quick to regain focus.  It is a pleasure having May in the Class:)

周五的下午,我去接她,和老师进行了简短的交流。就是让她在书写上还要多多FOCUS。我看了看,发觉这都是跟我在家那会几乎是一样的。在家那会,我对她的写是“放羊”的,我不觉得那么早握笔有啥好的。不过既然老师提出来了,看来还是需要ONE TO ONE ATTENTION啊。偷偷地跑过去看她跳舞,正赖在地上。结束后,看到我,本来可以自己穿的袜子也变得不会穿了。
