这本书好评如潮,各大书评媒体上都给予了很高的评价,was awarded a Newbery Honor, won the Sibert Medal, the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults, and was a finalist for the National Book Award。
wow! everyone's heard of atomic bombs, but i doubt half of them even know what makes them so deadly. the process of making one is described in vivid detail and the people involved are also equally interesting. world war 2 is also portrayed and described in here, and there are many quotes that help the reader to understand the situation. the suspense and acton taking place during the three-way race to build or steal the world's most formidable weapon was unbelievable. many people were involved in the making of the atomic bomb, with spies, agents, and physicists. there was a lot of risk-taking and secrecy, making it a great book. it was so good, i finished the whole thing in one day, never putting it down as soon as i picked it up. the hook grabs at you, and you're sucked into world war 2 from the first chapter. i always thought history was boring but boy was i wrong!

The Notorious Benedict Arnold: A True Story of Adventure, Heroism & Treachery won both the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction and the Boston Globe/Horn Book Award for nonfiction.
