No Homework for Winter Break: Message from the Superintendent? （2015/12/17）

Dear Parents and Guardians,



Later this month we are planning a homework free winter break.  We encourage and value family time and recognize how hard our students have worked in school since September.  Our district has established the following expectations for homework during this time between December 23, 2015 and January 4, 2016:

There will be no homework over the break.
There will be no assessments (quizzes, tests, etc.) given on Monday, 1/4 or Tuesday, 1/5. 
There will be no long-term projects/assignments due that week 1/4 – 1/8
Reading for interest and pleasure is always encouraged

We wish you and your family a relaxing and memorable winter break. See you in 2016!
